As a former Director of Surgical Technology within the Ethicon Division of Johnson & Johnson, Walter brings a diverse base of medical product knowledge as well as business acumen to the team. While at Ethicon, Walter was the Chairperson of World Wide Surgical Product & Technology Coordination where he presented at all medical academies, surgical panel specialty meetings and study groups. He has participated in the development of training films for new surgical products, has co-authored 24 medical papers and is named on 38 patents. Walter's extensive experience has earned him recognition by Who’s Who in Biotechnology, Who’s Who in Executive Management and Who’s Who in America.
David is a globally known foot and ankle Surgeon who has dedicated himself to the advancement of the field and serves as a crucial component of Block Island Technologies. His extensive experience and passion for medicine has earned him the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine as well as a Chairman of The Board of Trustees at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. David has served as President of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, President of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and President of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association.
A thought leader and product concept visionary, Steve’s unique problem-solving ability coupled with design acumen has served to create new products both in and out of the medical field. Named on several patents, he employs a research-based approach to co-develop complex devices for medical procedures. In the medical field, his body of work includes devices for mitral annulus repair, urodynamic measurement systems and esophageal varices ligation. Steve’s professional design experience and business understanding has helped generate product ideas into realities for Block Island Technologies.
